Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: October 2025
Our Acceptable Use Policy sets out the conduct we expect from customers so that our shared infrastructure stays fast, lawful and available for everyone.
1. Purpose
This policy keeps HostingSwift reliable, lawful and safe for everyone. It applies to every service on our platform, including VPS, web hosting, streaming, VPN, domains and storage.
2. Prohibited content
- •Child sexual abuse material or any content that sexualises minors.
- •Content that promotes violence, terrorism or hatred against people based on protected characteristics.
- •Malware, phishing kits, botnet command infrastructure or credential-stealing tooling.
- •Content or activity that infringes the intellectual property rights of others.
- •Content that is illegal under the laws applicable to our operations.
3. Prohibited activity
- •Sending unsolicited bulk email (spam) from or through our network.
- •Port scanning, denial-of-service attacks, or any attempt to disrupt other networks or hosts.
- •Unauthorised access to systems, networks or data, including attempts to breach our own infrastructure.
- •Operating open proxies or relays used to anonymise abusive traffic.
- •Crypto-mining or other sustained resource abuse on free tiers not intended for that purpose.
4. Resource and fair use
Plans carry resource allowances such as CPU, memory, storage and bandwidth. Sustained use that materially exceeds your plan, degrades the experience of other customers, or evades the intent of a free tier may result in a request to upgrade, a throttle, or suspension.
We will always try to talk to you first and suggest a plan that fits what you are actually doing.
5. Security and your responsibilities
- •Keep your servers patched and your credentials secure.
- •Do not leave services configured so that they can be abused by third parties (for example, an open mail relay).
- •Report suspected abuse or security issues to us promptly.
6. Enforcement
When we become aware of a violation we may take action proportionate to its severity, ranging from a warning and a request to remediate, through to suspension or termination of the affected service. For serious violations such as attacks on third parties or illegal content, we may act immediately and without prior notice.
We may also be legally required to report certain activity to the relevant authorities.
